L’authenticité c’est … le notariat ! Depuis l’époque romaine bien sûr, et confirmée plus récemment par la loi du 25 Ventôse an XI qui définit les notaires comme les officiers publics institués par la loi pour conférer l’authenticité.
Lorsqu’on sait qu’ « authentic » a dépassé en nombre de recherches « deepfake », les notaires peuvent se rassurer quant à leur nécessité et l’importance de leur statut, à l’heure où l’intelligence artificielle fait de plus en plus parler d’elle. Confirmed since the Roman times and more recently by Napoleon’s law of « 25 Ventôse an XI » (March 16, 1803), French notaries are public officers entrusted by law to confer legal authenticity. French notarial deeds are authentic : unchallengeable date, unchallengeable proof of their content and even court-level enforceability.
Considering that « authentic » has overtaken « deepfake » in the number of web searches, the necessity and importance of French notaries today is undeniable, especially at a time when artificial intelligence is increasingly the talk of the town.
